It’s a ‘roo chew’… kangaroo. I have no idea why she insists on sitting with them in her mouth like that, but she does it every time! If I knew how to photoshop an ammo belt and beret on her I’d have done that and found a Che Guevara quote!

OMD – that’s a riot! I didn’t see the ‘cigar’ at first but was laughing anyway ’cause she’s such a character.
Just out of curiosity, how long does a ‘roo chew’ last her? (We’re brainstorming ‘keep her busy’ ideas for Bella…)
Not long… the only things that keep her busy for any length of time are XL frozen kongs – see http://fabulousflo.wordpress.com/2011/10/05/get-stuffed/ – and frozen marrow bones. Have you tried puzzle balls? The other thing that used to work quite well before Flo’s jaws became strong enough to crush them was an empty drink bottle with a couple of holes cut in it and biccies put inside… she used to roll them round the garden for ages. She did work out that if she picked the bottle up and tipped it up they would come out the end… she’s greener than her cabbage looks.
Oh darn. We just keep trying…
Bella does like her Kongs but the large are a just a little too big for her. We generally switch up between bully bones and ever-lasting treat balls. We throw in some puzzle cubes/balls just to mix it up. Someone brought her an oxtail last weekend that seemed to keep her occupied for quite a while so we may look into more of those. The water bottle we’ve used just for the crunchy noise it makes but they don’t last long.
