Wordless Wednesday – The Cone Of Shame

Flo's hurt her eye. She keeps scratching at it. Time for the cone of shame.

Thank you GLP and T. Have been soooo slack all over again! BUT, I’ve finally finished the job of the pond (remember the great re-lining event that happened A WHOLE YEAR AGO??)… the only thing really left to do is (wait for it…. ) build a bamboo water feature. I know that’s a topic close to your heart! I’ve got all the wood organised to patch the deck up, which is next on the ‘to do’ list. You would think that organising some planks of wood would be be straight forward but in the last 30 years standard decking sizes have changed. I’m having to get some cut, shaved and planed. Bah! But, the deck has been on the list longer than the pond!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO! Hope you’ve had a peaceful time on your hols and that the coming year is full of realised ambitions and dreams. 🙂

  17. Rose says:

Oh gosh, I sure hope she’s oK again now, and all your projects have gone well. It’s scorching here in the Hunter today – just scorching. How’s it up your sweaty way?!
Anyhow hope the new year is off to a happy and good start for you and yours H.

Thank you and happy new year to you too Rose. Flo’s eye is back to normal, we only had a couple of days of her winking at everyone! I have been watching the news and weather reports for down south closely… we have such predictable weather here in our part of the world that we notice if it’s one or two degrees out from normal. I can’t imagine how you are all coping with the temperatures you’re having at the moment. We are being rained on heavily at this very moment and the floors are rumbling with all the thunder. It’s fabulous and has brought all the frogs out of their hiding places. The pond will be filling nicely so I can check my handiwork tomorrow (in between trips to Bunnings, of course). I’m sure it’s going to be full of frog spawn judging by the sounds of things out there!

      Don’t overheat! xxxx
